We want to allow all our members to obtain the items they want from the linkshell events. Therefore, we will have designated sign up sheets to allow people to do this, regardless of the job they use in sky events. We have members with multiple lvl75 jobs, and those members are asked to attend events on different jobs in order to be most effective during the events. That being said, a member with lvl75 WHM only, is NOT going to get a lot on an Osode due to job restrictions. We try to be as efficient and as fair as we can to all our members, new or veteran. Due to different real life schedules and issues, we may ask members to come to sky on different jobs than they would normally. As we grow as a linkshell, the necessity to request member job changes will decrease. But we definitely do not need 25 DD's in sky with one whitemage. We do not want members to feel they will not get to lot on Byakko's Haidate because we asked them to come on a mage job. We ask for everyones cooperation in this matter. Be assured you will NOT be left out because you came to an event on a different job.
All item drops are determined by the leadership, and we use these lists to decide upon drops. Several factors are weighed out when making these decisions including attendance, necessity, whats best for the shell, etc... We are a team and we will decide whats best for our team. Not everyone will be allowed to lot on drops each time they fall. No one will lot until the leadership makes the call for a member, or multiple members to lot that item.
For instance... If a veteran member has poor attendance, and a new member had perfect attendance, there is a greater possibility the new member will get a chance to lot against the veteran member. This allows opportunity for new members, and also gives incentive to the veteran to be active in the shell. This depends on the circumstances at the time. This also allows for the "lot" and some luck to determine who gets a given drop. Nothing is guaranteed or written in stone. We have a 2-week trial period, so just about anyone can join the shell to see if they like it here, and if Binding Honor Linkshell is a place they would like to be. During this trial period, new members do not have the ability to "lot" or obtain any gear, but we have had new membership obtain items on their very first run.
Once you become a member and gain access to the full forum, there is a board named "Wish Lists". We ask the members to let us know what items they are looking for. Once you make your wish list, your requests will be added to the "Official List" and you will be in the running for that item. For those members without access to the forum, we will add your name to the list for that item once you let the leadership know your requests. If you do not know what items come from sky, or the items you are looking for, we have a "Sky Information" board to let members see exactly which drop is which, and where those items come from so all our members will have the opportunity to learn everything they need to know. Included in this section are maps, tips, and some walk-thru's that everyone should know, and become familiar with.
We have other incentive programs in effect as well. We do not want a "bank" with millions sitting in it for a rainy day. From past experience, this money seems to disappear if something happens to the shell. To avoid this, and to lessen the doubts, we make payments to members based upon their attendance. Once you become a member you will learn more about this "Bonus Program". We also give spur of the moment rewards during events to add incentive not to miss runs.
All data, including attendance and individual run summaries, is posted for all to see. This allows members to see who their competition is for items, to see attendance history, linkshell funds, and any other information we feel necessary to make public. We do not run a "shadow government" nor do we want our members to think we do. So by posting all information on the site, it keeps everything out in the open for all to see. We use the exact information you see on the site when making decisions. The more a member contributes, the more benefit they can get from the shell.
So if you like our ideas, let us know. Feel free to apply, or post any comments you have here. We will try to reply to any concerns or suggestions you may have. We will not go into detail about specific policies used in the shell until you become a member. This is an overview of our ideas and an introduction to the linkshell policies we use. We will attempt to answer any questions to the best of our ability.
Thanks
